Guest Feature | All I want for Christmas is Shoes
Our gest blogger bae is back and this month she’s giving us the sass on how to wear your ankle boots for party season. So bin off your barely theres for a night and get those booties at the ready bae.
Every year I make the same mistake – I leave my Christmas shopping until the week before Christmas. When it hits October, I think to myself ‘ohhh I’ll grab a few bits and bobs’ and after buying one gift I feel so proud in my false productive state; I say false because after this first initial present is bought, I completely forget to buy the rest until it’s too late. Here at Public Desire we have made it easy for you to, not only be a part of the exclusive last-minute shoppers group, but to avoid the stress and the panic attacks caused by swarmed shops in the process. This week’s style blog features the star on top of the Christmas tree, the essential ankle boot that everyone should have in their wardrobe this season.
-Disclaimer: All shoes may produce Christmas lust from onlookers-
The Shoes who Stole Christmas
Did someone say green with envy? These suede, diamante stiletto heeled boots are not only fierce, but they dress up any outfit. Pair these shoes with your sexiest body con dress for glamorous Christmas drinks with the girls, if you’re after a more edgy street-wear influenced look; work these boots with ripped mom jeans, fish nets and a cropped green hoody.
Slay Bells Ring
Dance the night away in the most comfortable, wearable and sleekest pair of black ankle boots. These patent block heeled boots are not only stylish, they are supportive. The block heel means that you won’t need to worry about uneven flooring, the colour goes with everything, and the pointed toe allows attitude in every step. Every girl deserves a pair of black boots in their wardrobe, so if you’re looking for a gift for a fellow fierce female or just a pre-Christmas treat for yourself then these boots are a failsafe gift! Partner these boots with a midi foiled skirt, large buckled belt and a grey jumper for a sophisticated evening look. Vamp up these boots in the night with a pair of black skinny jeans, a mesh top and bralette for the perfect club attire.
Rudolph the Red Shoed Reindeer
You may not be able to dash through the snow in these boots, but you can definitely strut your way around town. These dark pink, velour, embellished sock boots may be the regalest shoes to have ever graced your feet but this Christmas you are worth it. When worn correctly, sock boots have the ability to elongate your legs and increase your ego. Team these shoes with a flared trimmed black pleather skirt and a white plunged shirt or go for a more laid-back vibe with black culottes and a baggy t-shirt.
I hope you all have the sassiest Christmas!
