🍕Happy Fast Food Day!🍕

16th November 2017.
by Alia Khan.

Happy Thursday baes! It’s 1 day until the weekend, and if that wasn’t good enough – today is also Fast Food Day. No matter how much we resist, there’s often that little voice in our heads that keeps nudging us to log in to our Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat account… (sometimes all at the same time… – I mean, we need to suss out the best deal). If you’re in Manchester, we wanted to round up a few of the best ways to celebrate fast food day today finished off with some Insta-worthy recipes you need to try.

Northern Soul Grilled Cheese

If you fancy the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich in your life, then this one’s for you. The small shop that is definitely well known by everyone in Manchester it seems,  and will soon be twice the size of it now, serves up simple yet 10 out of 10 grilled cheese sarnies with a twist. They are based on their signature three cheese blend on freshly baked sourdough bread, then combined with various other ingredients like mac n cheese, crispy bacon, red onion chutney,  bbq pulled pork and more. SO GOOD!

The Hip Hop Chip Shop

Next on the list, is not just your regular chippy. The un-taditional chip shop won this years national chip shop awards – and if that doesn’t entice you in, then we don’t know what will. They serve loads of different meals at a reasonable price, ranging from Shell L Cool J burger, which is a Louisana spiced crab cake with battered smoky bacon and slaw – to a tasty fish wrap with fresh salad and minted mushy peas, or deep fried haloumi fingers with dips – there’s something to suit everyone if you fancy something a bit than your average fish bar.

Alabama’s All American Eatery

All hail Alabama’s American Eatery. If you’re looking for a good ol’ American diner style meal, then you need to check this out. Situated in the heart of Northern Quarter, Alabama’s do a damn fine job of serving up American breakfast and brunch, lunch and dinner. Filled to the brim with comfort food, it definitely gives you the authentic taste of American fast food. They serve grilled sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, mac n cheese, burgers – the lot. Not forgetting a range of sweet treats and milkshakes to go with it.

Dogs n Dough

Now if you’re more a pizza gal, then say no more. Dogs n Dough specialises in the holy grail of ALL fast foods, pizza, and of course, gourmet hot dogs too. We are also obsessin’ over their too-good-to-miss happy hour deals which include discounted food, combo meals, plus wine and craft beer, cocktails and Prosecco. This makes us happy. This would be the perf’ place for after work drinks or a Saturday catch up with the girls.

V Rev MCR (vegan)

Now, don’t think we have forgotten about all you Vegan bae’s out there! We got you covered. V Revs is the vegan hot spot to go in Manchester for fast food. Tried and tested by a few of the PD bae’s who are vegan, they could not recommend it enough. They serve everything you would want from beef patties, loaded fries, spicy fried chicken and more – all catering to dietary requirements for everyone. This place is great for your vegan friends, and even yourself – there really is something on the menu for everyone which is fab.
