New York Fashion Week 2018 Tips
NYFW is finally here and our fave celebs and blogger baes will be sitting FROW and getting ready for some new season sass. That doesn’t mean we need to miss out on the action. We’ve got the 411 from the bae Arta Halili of @artafacts on how to prepare like a pro for the fabulous week!
Arta Facts: The NYFW 411
Preparing is to New York Fashion Week as happiness is to new shoes. They go hand in hand (or foot in foot, should I say?). Whether you’re a NYFW newbie or long-time veteran, chances are you’re taking this final week to plan the perfect OOTDs, map your way from one show to another, and RSVP to all of the after parties.
However, in the midst of the madness, it’s easy to forget about the small yet crucial items that will get you through NYFW in a calm, cool, and collected manner. Don’t worry we got you. I’ve put together a list of the 10 essentials you need to do New York Fashion Week feeling and looking like a complete pro. Check them out below!
Flats – Since the NYFW shows will be spread all throughout the city this year, cute flats or slippers are essential to keep in your bag for running around.
Blister Band-Aids – No matter how comfy your shoes are, endless hours of speed walking and standing are bound to beat your feet up a little. Don’t miss a show because your feet gave up on you!
Wrinkle Spray – Wrinkles will bring down even the chicest of outfits. Make sure your photo ready after sitting on the subway or at a show with some wrinkle spray.
Business Cards – After all you’re at NYFW to network and make connections. You don’t want to miss out on a collab with your dream brand by forgetting your business cards at home. You’ll look and feel way more professional with them, anyway!
Extra SD Card + Camera Battery – Chances are you’ll be taking a lot of pictures at NYFW. Be prepared with an extra battery and SD card.
External Phone Battery – From posting on Insta to taking videos of the shows, you’re going to be on your phone ALL DAY. Make sure you have a charged up external battery to get you through the day.
Apple Flash Cord – If your camera doesn’t have WiFi, bring a flash cord to quickly transfer photos from your camera to your phone. This will help you keep your posts relevant each day.
Snack – A granola or protein bar is major key if you don’t have time to stop and eat in between shows.
Metrocard – Ubering might sound fun and fancy, but surcharge pricing and traffic are not. Get yourself a week unlimited Metrocard and download the Subway app. Take it from a New Yorker!
Gum – You’ll be in really close quarters with hundreds of other people at shows and you’ll also want to keep your breath fresh while you network!
