The Royal Wedding – A Day of Dreams
So, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last, err, week – you’ll know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on Saturday and the whole thing was pretty historic tbh. The Royal Wedding gave us everything we could have hoped for – the sheer LOVE we witnessed, the serious STYLE game that attended, and the diversity and inclusivity of Meghan’s roots. From start to finish we couldn’t fault it, nor can we think of a better girl for the role of PRINCESS! We’ve lined up our fav moments from Saturday’s events…
The ceremony dress, designed by Givenchy creative director Clare Waight Keller (the first female artistic director at Givenchy may we add), was elegant and classic – just like our girl! Meghan looked SO radiant and every bit the princess she’s just become. Oh, and that train that went on for daysss? Yeah, that was srsly unreal.
Meghan’s second dress for the evening reception was designed by Stella McCartney. Continuing the simplistic elegant theme, we were every bit in awe of how AMAZING she looked. But then again, she’s Meghan Markle, we never doubted she would for a second.
Her resemblance to Cinderella
With a helluva lotta hard work, determination and self-belief, Meghan climbed her way from humble beginnings in LA to fame & fortune, and landed herself a real life fairy-tale Royal romance. To add to this, she LITERALLY looked like our childhood favourite herself as she exited the church having just married the Prince & love of her life (I’m not crying you’re crying!) The only way this could have been improved would’ve been a fleet of friendly mice holding up her veil.
It’s safe to say we all fell in love with Meghan’s mother Doria on the day – and how could you not?! From her grace and elegance throughout the ceremony, to her obvious pride and love for her daughter – we think Harry’s bagged himself a pretty fantastic Mother-in-law in the whole process! As an added bonus, Doria loves Yoga and dogs – a gal after our own hearts!
“You look amazing, I’m so lucky!”
When harry uttered these words as Meghan reached the top of the aisle, hearts melted ev-er-y-where. True love was all around, and the look of sheer happiness on both of their faces gave us gals everywhere hope that love really does exist, chivalry isn’t dead & our Prince is still out there. *sobbing*
Last, but certainly not least, that epic kiss outside the church. We’re still not over it! *swoon*
3 cheers for the happy couple – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we wish you a lifetime of happiness & love! xoxo
