#TBT Teen Dramas to Binge

26th March 2020.
by Megan Biggin.

Gone through everything on Netflix and bored of watching Friends repeats? We have got you covered. This Throwback Thursday we’re bringing you all our fave teen dramas from back in the day so you can relive all the joy, the tears, the love and the drama all over again.

One Tree Hill 2003 – 2012

As catchy theme tunes go, One Tree Hill is up there. Set in a small town in North Carolina, the show follows half brothers Nathan and Lucas Scott (both super hot) as they go from rivals to friends with plenty of drama, romance, break ups and basketball in-between. This show also gave us a whole host of strong female leads, Brooke Davis is an absolute QUEEN.

The OC 2003 – 2007

Before Gossip Girl, Josh Schwartz brought us The OC. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Newport Beach in California, we follow bad boy Ryan as he moves in with the Cohens, becomes best mates with Seth Cohen (our favourite hot geek) and falls in love with the troubled Marissa Cooper.

Gilmore Girls 2000 – 2007

If you’re after something to make you feel all warm inside with a little less drama or mystery, then Gilmore Girls is right up your street. This show brought us the best mother daughter relationship we’ve ever seen, plenty of pop culture references and just the right amount of humour. Plus, we totally wanted to live in Stars Hollow.

Desperate Housewives 2004 – 2012

Ok so this one may not necessarily fall under the category of teen dramas as the cast were definitely not high schoolers but it’s a great show with PLENTY of drama to get stuck into. Despite numerous fallouts, this was an envious group of friends.

Gossip Girl 2007 – 2012

Gossip Girl was like the slightly more risqué version of The OC. A bit sexier, more dramatic and extravagant. We watched Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf (along with a whole host of other rich and not so rich friends) go from high schoolers to college kids, battling a whole lot of gossip in between. Whether you like the reveal at the end or not, we can all agree on one thing, Blair Waldorf is THE QUEEN OF EVERYTHING.
