Hey ladies, it's October and that means it's an extremely important month. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health campaign organised by cancer charities to spread awareness of breast cancer and how to look out for signs of it.
Sadly, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime in the UK. We think that it's an extremely important topic to speak about and so we have put together some resources to help spread awareness of this cause.
The four main symptoms to be aware of are; breast mass or lumps, nipple discharge, redness or swelling in one breast and changes in the appearance of the nipple. It's important to recognise when something's not right- check your breasts regularly for any unusual changes as it can help discover the cancer early. If you need some guidance with checking, head over to CoppaFeel who have put together an extremely helpful 'self-checkout' which is an easy to follow guide.
It's also really important to spread awareness of the amazing charities out there working to fight breast cancer.
